Controlled Medication Policy

The Healing Place Psychiatry & Wellness PLLC provides evaluation and treatment for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other psychiatric concerns.

The practice does not prescribe Schedule II controlled substances, including stimulant medications such as Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin, Concerta, and similar medications.

This does not mean that ADHD cannot be evaluated or treated through the practice. Non-stimulant medication options and other treatment approaches may be discussed when clinically appropriate.

If your psychiatric evaluation indicates that a Schedule II medication may be reasonable to consider, your provider may, with your permission, coordinate with your primary care provider or another appropriate clinician. That clinician will independently determine whether prescribing a Schedule II medication is appropriate.

Other controlled medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate and permitted under the provider’s scope of practice and applicable prescribing requirements.
